There are always so many questions when it comes to bridal shower etiquette or wedding shower etiquette. Hopefully we can supply some answers to the most common bridal shower questions. These days, the tradition of a wedding shower being hosted exclusively by the bridesmaids has disappeared. It is perfectly acceptable for anyone (other than the bride's mother or sister) to give the bridal shower. If they so desire, another party (where gifts are not expected) can be given by the bride's mother or sister.
Many brides have more than one wedding shower and even brides on their second marriage find it within proper etiquette to have wedding showers. The bridal shower should be held 4 to 6 weeks prior to the wedding date, this gives the bride time to get out her thank you notes. Go ahead and try something different from the "traditional" wedding shower. Bridal shower invitation etiquette suggests that it is acceptable, fun and creative to assign a different room for different guests,. The guest should bring a bridal shower gift geared towards that room. Make sure to include the kitchen, living room, dining room, bathroom and dont forget the bedroom!
